A Limited Liability Company registered under the laws of the Republic of Ghana. It is a lottery retailer and was incorporated on the 2nd of December, 2015, under the Companies Code 1963 (Act 179) as a Private Limited Liability and commenced business operations. It was established to provide and manage lottery business within communities in Accra and also extend to communities in other parts of Ghana, with its head office located at 122 Osuown Street, GA 352-9312, Abeka, Accra. It has several branch offices in the 16 regions of Ghana, including Ashanti Region, Upper East Region, Western Region, Volta Region, Eastern Region, Brong Ahafo Region. The company operates to ensure stakeholders’ satisfaction and also promote business development of its subsidiaries, and the communities as a whole by leveraging on the experiences of its management team and resources.

Veterans Association of Ghana (VAG) issued a license to operate and conduct lotteries in 2013 under the Veterans Administration of Ghana Law, 2012 Act 844. Obeng Asare and Sons Limited took over from Stephen Asare Enterprise Limited in 2015 due to the emergence of the following reforms; 

 

1. Introduction and development of new products/ raffles.

2. Live broadcast of draws on television and radio.

3. The first private lottery company to be licensed.

4. Creation of regional offices.

 

The initiative of getting the license from VAG was to raise revenue to support vetrans and contribute to the development of the country by creating employment, paying of taxes, etc. Obeng Asare and Sons is currently operating under the Veterans Administration of Ghana, Act 2012 (Act 844) and is awaiting renewal of license. Currently, the company runs the following lotto draws;

Our platforms

1. Manual platform:

This involves choosing 2-5 winning numbers. The lotto coupons used are referred to as ‘manual’ because lotto receivers who retail the lotto products manually write the numbers chosen by customers on the coupons and submit original to the office before a draw is held. Winning coupons are identified after the draw.

 

2. Automated platform:

Its managed by a software where numbers are selected on electronic devices connected to the company’s database. Winnings are received through electronic transfers. With this platform, there is no physical contact with the retailer and the customer. Software development for this platform is currently in progress.
